Formally known as:

Sprite's Entertaining Choice SchH3 AX AXJ NF SG TM NW2 PC + CGC

Current Info:

We are currently training and competing in Agility, Schutzhund, Nose Work and occasionally Dock Diving! Emmy, like her sister, Pico, has shown a tremendous affinity and talent for the sport. We have done well at National level competition but mostly do it "for fun" instead of taking it too seriously. For now we go to the events we can and play when they ask us.

Emmy is competing in AKC Excellent B Agility. She competed at USDAA Cynosport World Games in 2007 & 2008, doing very well amongst some stiff competition. She qualified to compete at Cynosport in 2009 but we were unfortunately unable to attend.

Emmy just completed her SchH3 title! She thinks tracking should be done at MACH speed which has always given us a challenge for Schutzhund. However, she has a natural ability for scenting. We began detection-style training in "Fun Nose Work" classes in 2007 and she became certified to trial for her NW1 (birch odor) in 2008. She has done well and is among the few first dogs who have achieved the NW2 title!

Emmy is a crack-up! She's VERY intense and fast at whatever she does, leaving me "decorated" with footprints on a regular basis. She's affectionate and enjoys the attentions of people she knows as well as friendly strangers. From a baby, Emmy would leap for the Schutzhund sleeve and hang on no matter what, which earned her the nickname "The Flying Squirrel!" This has translated well to the sport of dock diving! She squeaks when excited and is very pushy when she wants something. She seems to have no fear of any situation. Teaching her to keep a calm head while working is our biggest challenge but we have a lot of fun. She has that "off" switch and is a joy to live with.

Emmy's pedigree is pure working Tervuren who go back to some of the best working Malinois in Europe. Her relatives include some of the top competitors in IPO, French Ring, Schutzhund and World Class Agility. Her Aunt Ava won the 2003 World Agility Championships. Mother Soja made the Finals for the Grand Prix at the 2005 USDAA Championships. Aunt Cisu was HIT in Obedience at the 2005 ABTC Nationals. Half-sister Wings won the 26" Steeplechase class at the 2009 USDAA Championships. And the list goes on. Suffice it to say that she has many talented relatives. :-)
